Speech acts: Reflection-Imagination-Repetition

Manchester Art Gallery

Friday 25 May 2018–Monday 22 April 2019

Through the work of more than 40 artists, Speech Acts: Reflection-Imagination-Repetition highlights the role of public museums in fashioning our collective imagination. The exhibition is presented in partnership with the research project, Black Artists and Modernism. It is an invitation to engage with artworks, beyond the limited frames of biography and geography, to nurture new stories, and expand our shared narratives.

Curated by Hammad Nasar and Kate Jesson.

Exhibition continues until 22 April 2019. Admission free.
